- To start out, here's some news out of Sacred Circle Books in Alexandria: The store, which just recently hired a sales associate, is now hiring for a sales assistant position. Requirements include knowledge of at least one area of metaphysics, and some retail experience. Anyone interested can apply here.
- PNC-DC is already busy compiling listings of upcoming fall events both late and small. Fall is a very busy season (some would say the busiest of all) for DC-area Pagans, and we want to keep you in the loop for all of it. If you know of any events that you don't see on the community calendar, let us know.
- The First Annual DC Witches Ball is next month and the Open Hearth Foundation has launched a blog documenting the planning process.
- We recently reported on the closing of Esoterica in Sterling. Sources now report that the shop has around 12 business days left, which has their last day being around the 27th of September.
- DC Pagan Pride is coming up this Sunday. After ritual, you'll still be able to make the tail of the Psychic Fair down in Alexandria.
- John Michael Greer, Lyratah Barrett, and Ivo Dominguez Jr. have all been confirmed as presenters at the 2012 Sacred Space Conference. In addition, the conference moves to Laurel this year which will likely interest more Virginia and DC based folks.
- Public descriptions of LibraFest have surfaced which will take place the weekend of October 8. From their event page: "This three-day fundraising event is hosted by Eldritch, Tigre, Angela Raincatcher, Jacqui MacMillan and Patch with all proceeds going to the Open Hearth Foundation, an initiative to build a national Pagan center in Washington, DC."
That's all for now!
I'm not sure where the typo originated, but I just wanted to mention that it's Angela Raincatcher, not Angel. =)
ReplyDeleteHi Christina,
ReplyDeleteThanks for catching that. It seems that originated on their facebook page (I copied the lines without double-checking).
Thanks!
