Iris Firemoon Resigns as Chair of Open Hearth Foundation

PNC-DC has just received word via press release that Iris Firemoon has stepped down as Chair of the Open Hearth Foundation, the organization that runs and sustains DC's Pagan Community Center.

"The Open Hearth Foundation (OHF) is sad to announce the departure of Iris Firemoon, Chairperson, from its Board of Governors. Iris was instrumental in the creation of the first DC Pagan community center. She led a team of volunteers with dedication, giving countless hours in the search for space, organizing major events, and facilitating pagan meetings in the DC area. We appreciate all of Iris' hard work with launching and running of the DC Pagan community center and wish her luck on her future endeavors. Her presence and leadership will be missed.
As the OHF Board of Governors prepares to address this new vacancy, the volunteer team is still operating at full capacity. This Saturday is the official launch of the OHF Pagan library at the community center. The strength of DC's Pagan community center is growing daily, thanks to the dedication of its passionate volunteers. For more information on the DC Pagan community center, upcoming events and how you can volunteer and support the OHF, please go to: www.openhearth.org"

We will keep you updated as the OHF board goes through the process of transitioning between leadership in addition to the other exciting events coming up at the Center.
