The Early Bird Registration Rate for the Sacred Space Conference, one of the East Coast’s largest esoteric conferences, will be extended until Sunday evening, August, 5, 2012. The Early Bird rate of $125 is the lowest conference rate available and includes all conference sessions and rituals, the Conjure Dance, and the Saturday evening party.
The Sacred Space Conference 2013 will be held from March 7 through March 10, 2012 at the Holiday Inn on Sweitzer Lane in Laurel, MD. The four-day conference features many local and national presenters, as well as this year’s Featured Presenters:
- Paul Beyerl, herbalist and poet, author of The Master Book of Herbalism and A Compedium of Herbal Magick, and founder of The Hermit’s Grove and The Rowan Tree Church.
- LuisahTeish, and internationally known speaker, artist, activist, author of Jambalaya: The Natural Woman’s Book of Personal Charms and Practical Rituals, an initiated elder in the Ifa/Orisha tradition of the African diaspora, she also serves as Chair of the Committee on Women’s Issues for the World Congress on Orisha.
- Christopher Penczak, a Witch, teacher, healing practitioner, author of more than 13 books, and the founder of the Temple of Witchcraft tradition and system of magickal training based upon the material of his books and classes.
The conference recently published the schedule of conference sessions. “This year we had a wealth of high quality submissions resulting in an acceptance rate of 39%,” stated conference organizer Gwendolyn Reese. “We easily could have offered a whole additional exceptional conference with the submissions we received.
The 2013 line-up includes other nationally known teachers like Ivo Dominguez Jr., an Elder of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel and author of Spirit Speak and Casting Sacred Space: The Core of all Magick Work and Spirit Speak; and Diana Paxson, author of Taking Up the Runes, Essential Asatru, and Trance-Portation, numerous fantasy and historical fiction novels, as well as founder of The Fellowship of the Spiral Path and an Elder in The Troth.
Among the many local teachers offering classes and rituals this year are: Katrina Messenger, Tigre Cruz and Ariana Lightningstorm, Literata, Firesong, Michael Gryffyn, and Terri Simon. Other highlights of the conference include: the Vendors’ and Healers’ Rooms, the Saturday evening party, and the New Orleans Conjure Dance on Friday night led by Caroline Kenner.
